Donations to the Church of the Pilgrimage

Donations to the Church of the Pilgrimage

Checks should be made out to The Church of the Pilgrimage and mailed to the church office:  8 Town Square, Plymouth, MA 02360.

If your donation is for a special purpose, such as "Capital Campaign" or "Missions", please note that on the check.

Matching Gifts

Some employers match gifts to religious organizations. Others don’t.  If yours does, please include the matching gift form with your donation.

Gifts of Stock

The Church of the Pilgrimage can accept gifts of securities using accounts managed by JP Morgan Securities. If you sell appreciated stock you are likely to incur capital gains. However, when you give the stock to the church, you avoid capital gains tax and you receive a charitable income tax deduction based on the stock's fair market value (mean value) at the time of its transfer. (Securities must be held for at least one year to secure the full tax benefits of a stock gift.)  If you wish to donate stocks, bonds or mutual funds, please contact Marcus Swaim at JP Morgan Securities who will provide you with an informational form to complete and return.

JP Morgan Securities

Upon receipt of the informational form, JP Morgan will provide you with detailed delivery instructions.  Securities can be accepted either by electronic transfer or by receipt of a physical certificate.

Note: Donations from Roth IRA's have similar tax deductibility to other stock donations. Depending on recent actions of Congress, it may be possible to donate securities from a regular IRA account without incurring any tax liability though tax deductibility is usually not possible. If you plan to donate from an IRA account, it is best to contact your tax advisor for more details.
